How is heat calculated?Read the methodCollapse
Heat comes from independent accounts and organisations taking part in the same event. Repeated collection counts once, and each source decays on a 24-hour half-life. It measures how active the discussion is, not how good the reporting is.
The board covers the past 48 hours. Trends compare only the same set of continuously tracked sources; they reflect our monitoring range, not the whole internet. No trend line is drawn when comparable history is missing.
The source list shows only sources with publicly readable reporting; participants also include accounts and organisations that only count towards heat. Multiple channels of the same organisation may be merged, so participants are not always more numerous than sources. Open an event to see every report and viewpoint we have.
